.. one and a half pounds on! I have been eating less than maintenance calories and so should have at the very least I should have maintained! To be honest I have been quite poorly this week with extreme fatigue and a very upset stomach - this at the very least should have ensured a weight loss!
I feel too rough to even be that pissed off! Looking forward to losing next week with any luck!
p.s Pene! The extension belt fitted and I am slendertoning myself to death!
Love Annie x
Sometimes if you don't eat enough you gain weight, your body thinks your starving so seems to hold onto every once? Mad I know but it's happened to me a couple of times. Or maybe it's just fluid retention lol. I could think up another twenty excuses if you like but it doesn't matter just forget about it and concerntrate on this week. You'll be fine, hope you feel better soon

Oh and keep on slendertoning ;)
I see it a lot, stomach bug, weigh gain. Its a lot to do with your body holding on to fluid and fighting bugs etc. Hope those inches are going, bet they are?
ReplyDeleteIts probably your body holding on to water because upset tummies can dehydrate you so much.Feel better and next week will balance out I am sure!

Hang on in there Annie!
ReplyDeleteWhen I got on the scales last Friday, I'd lost a big fat 0lbs! I got on them again on Saturday .... put on 1 lb and on Sunday .... another 2lbs! No idea why as I'd been 'good' both days. However, although chucking in the towel was a possibility, I have stuck with it and today I am back to Friday's weight.
Why? Who knows! Moral of the story? Don't weigh every day (and I WILL break that one.....). Also, I have noticed this happens where I've eaten rice the day before. Perhaps rice hangs onto fluid?
In your case, I would think it was 'cos you weren't very well.
I'll hang in there if you do :)
Annie, Don't stress girl! When we are unwell the body often retains fluid, it also increases the amount of white blood cells in our systems to help fight off what is causing the illness. It's these weeks when this type of thing happens that you need to focus on how you are increasing your fitness levels rather than dwelling on those numbers!!! This week think health & fitness!!! xox
ReplyDeleteI put on over half a stone in 2 weeks with my chest infection - as the others say, I think being ill makes your body hold on to water and fat etc - really depressing that not only are we ill be to add insult to injury we gain weight!
ReplyDeleteJust keep moving forward!! Don't be frustrated. Just keep focused!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's called being a women :) 'tis true - men always seem to lose it quicker and faster (boo). Dont get narky hun you have lots of friends who are pushing you on :D xxx
ReplyDeleteSee how you do at weigh in once you're better, which I hope is soon!! :)
ReplyDeleteDon't be dishearten. You can do this. If I can do it anyone can!!! I lost 1st 11lb and went from a size 16/18 to a 12/14 so just keep going.( I am doing Slimming World tho) Small steps in the right direction.
ReplyDeleteSometimes not eating enough will add the weight. You already lost a good amount so keep going
I've managed to put on over 2 pounds this week and that was with eating more sensibly - most infuriating - I am beginning to think my body has decided it is a bear that ought to be hibernating and therfore keeping hold of all the fat with a vengeance!
ReplyDeleteHey Annie I just came accross your blog.. noticed you last posted on the 25th. Are we due an update? Hope all is going well and you recovered from that bug! You probably already know this but if you adjust your focus from 'pounds' to feeling healthy and loving your shape then it helps on those weeks when the scale is playing tricks on you. I've found that anyway ;-)
ReplyDeleteI too am wondering how it is going? Are you recovered from your bug? Have you had a set back? Not to worry - you can still do it!!
ReplyDeleteLet us know how you are,
Warm Wishes,
